Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled CAD Drafter to join our Engineering team. In this role, you will convert conceptual designs, sketches, and specifications into precise 2D and 3D technical drawings using CAD software. You will collaborate closely with engineers, designers, and production teams to ensure that drawings are accurate, functional, and aligned with project requirements and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Drafting: Create detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings and schematics using AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, Vault, and other CAD tools.
- **Design Translation:** Interpret design concepts, sketches, and specifications, transforming them into fully developed technical plans, sections, and elevations.
- Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with engineers, project managers, and designers to align on project goals and design requirements.
- Drawing Revisions: Update and revise drawings based on feedback, design changes, or production needs, ensuring documentation remains current and accurate.
- Compliance & Standards: Ensure all drawings meet applicable industry standards, regulations, and internal quality guidelines.
- Quality Control: Review and verify all drawing dimensions, tolerances, and technical specifications for accuracy and completeness.
- File Management: Organize and maintain drawing databases, version control, and related documentation for efficient retrieval and project tracking.
Deadline Management: Prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects to meet critical deadlines and project milestones.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in CAD software, including AutoCAD, Vault, and Autodesk Inventor
- Strong drafting skills with the ability to create technical drawings from rough designs or verbal input
- Solid understanding of engineering principles, manufacturing processes, and industry standards
- Familiarity with architectural and mechanical terminology and documentation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment
- Effective time management and organizational skills
- Bachelor’s degree or certification in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related field

This position may require occasional overtime to accommodate urgent project timelines or customer demands. The role is critical in supporting the engineering team’s efforts in producing high-quality, production-ready designs.
