Mancan is looking for a General Laborer to join a company in Dover, OH!
• Remove pallet stacks from the production floor once full stacks are pulled from the stacker by Leads.
• Ensure each stack is even (split if necessary), confirm there are 25 pallets per stack, then load onto the infeed conveyor.
• Monitor the Deflashing machine while pallets are being routed. Remain outside the safety barrier during operation. Once pallets reach the takeaway belt, remove the stack, inspect each pallet, and hand-route if needed. Apply the shift color stripe on the left and the weight color stripe on the right. Mark the center of the top pallet to indicate a 25-pallet stack. Fill out a warehouse tag with pallet size and weight, attach half to a 50-stack, and retain the other half for tag sheet tracking.
• Quarantine any pallets that appear damaged or questionable.
• Transport completed full stacks to the designated warehouse location.
• Maintain cleanliness in the deflashing area, including emptying trash bins and the dust hopper.
• Operate core plug presses and packing equipment efficiently and safely.
• Perform continuous quality inspections on core plugs; weigh plugs hourly and record results.
• Make adjustments as needed to maintain high product quality standards.
• Stack finished core plug boxes and ensure the box erector remains stocked.
• Clearly mark each box with shift identification; label the last box on each pallet with the date and time. Move completed pallets to the staging area for cooling.
• Routinely clean steam lines and filters to maintain proper function.
• Accurately record production totals, scrap amounts, and downtime on the core plug production sheet.
• Wrap cooled plugs from the previous day and transport them to their designated warehouse location.
• Maintain cleanliness in the plug area, including cleaning air filters as assigned.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the shift supervisor.
