Job Title: General Maintenance Technician
Location: Wooster, OH
Pay Rate: $15.00/hour (negotiable up to18/hour based on experience)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM (plus some Saturday mornings and occasional after-hours emergency call-backs)
Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a dependable and experienced General Maintenance Technician to join the team. The ideal candidate will have a well-rounded background in general maintenance, including basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and light construction. This role is crucial in ensuring our facility remains safe, operational, and in top condition.
Responsibilities:
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on building systems and equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical and plumbing issues
• Perform HVAC maintenance and light construction tasks as needed
• Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner
• Be available for after-hours emergency call-backs as needed (typically brief and infrequent)
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Report directly to management and communicate any major repairs or needs
Qualifications:
• Proven experience in general maintenance (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, light construction, etc.)
• Ability to diagnose and resolve issues independently
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Reliable transportation and availability for emergency callbacks
• Previous experience in hotel, hospital, or similar facilities preferred
Compensation:
Starting at $15/hour. Candidates with extensive experience may be eligible for up to $17–$18/hour.
