A St. Albans company is looking for a maintenance technician to help out with day to day maintenance duties. Must be self motivated have attention to detail and be able to multitask. This position won't last!
This is a temp position. M-F 8:30am to 5:00pm
Pay is based on qualifications
Must have a valid driver's license.
Inspections: Conduct regular inspections of machinery, equipment, and systems to identify and address any issues or potential problems.
Repairs: Perform routine and emergency repairs on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, as well as any other equipment that may require maintenance.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and system failures to determine the root cause of the problem.
Preventive Maintenance: Implement and execute preventive maintenance plans and schedules to minimize equipment breakdowns and ensure the longevity of machinery.
Calibration: Calibrate and adjust equipment and machinery to maintain their accuracy and efficiency.
Replacement: Replace faulty or worn-out parts, components, and equipment as needed to keep systems running smoothly.
Documentation: Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and part replacements. This documentation helps with tracking maintenance history and planning future maintenance.
Safety: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure the safety of themselves and others while working on equipment and machinery.
Equipment Testing: Perform regular testing and quality checks on systems and machinery to ensure they meet operational standards and regulations.
Inventory Management: Maintain an inventory of spare parts, tools, and supplies necessary for maintenance and repairs. Reorder items as needed to ensure availability.
Training: Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and maintenance techniques through training and professional development.
Communication: Collaborate with other team members, engineers, and management to report issues, share information, and discuss maintenance priorities.
Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond to emergency maintenance situations and address critical equipment failures promptly.
Upkeep: Keep work areas, tools, and equipment clean and organized, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
Compliance: Ensure that all maintenance activities meet regulatory and industry standards, including environmental and safety regulations.
Budget Management: Assist in managing the maintenance department's budget by tracking expenses and making cost-effective decisions regarding repairs and equipment replacement.
