Salary: $17.00/hour
Canton Mancan is assisting a local Canton company in hiring a dedicated Welder & General Labor candidate to join our team in Canton, Ohio. In this dynamic role, you will primarily perform MIG welding tasks and will also be cross-trained to assist in various work centers based on company workload and employee capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform MIG welding as required.
• Operate and proficiently use hand tools, including torches, hand-held plasma cutters, and grinders.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, weld symbols, and weld procedures.
• Familiarity with AWS D1.1 standards is highly desirable.
• Basic fabrication knowledge and skills.
• Conduct light maintenance tasks when necessary.
• Read and accurately measure using tape measures and calipers.
• Lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
• Successful completion of a welding test during the interview process.
• Willingness and ability to pass a qualification welding test upon hire.
• Reliable transportation.
• Steel toe boots are required (not provided).
• Ability to work from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm with occasional overtime
• Commitment to safety and adherence to company policies.
• Strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
