Turret Punch Operator

A prestigious Canton company is looking for a skilled and motivated individual for their Turret Press opening!
Turrett Press / Laser Operator-
**18.00- $20.00 per hour based on experience
** 1st shift, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM Monday – Friday
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High school equivalent. Further vocational training is helpful.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Review set up sheets and specification to determine set up procedure, machine sequence and dimensions of finished pieces.
2. Attached punching tools to tool holder, positions tool holders in machine, starts up laser.
3 .Loads control media (tape, disks, etc.) in machine control console and enters commands. Observes numerical displays to verify adjustments.
4. Manipulates control and enters commands for cutting or punching to a specified set point.
5. Monitors laser gas for proper consumption and adjusts laser parameters accordingly depending on material type and thickness.
6. Shears material for orders as required.
Helps maintain physical inventory of sheet stock.
Maintains a clean work area including machine tools & assisting in preventative maintenance as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Mobility requirements include standing, walking, reaching and bending.
KNOWLEDGE: Good math skills, computer skills, blueprint reading skills
