Canton Mancan Staffing Employment Agency is assisting a local Canton company seeking to hire an experienced HVAC technician!
In this position you will need to perform all troubleshooting, inspections, service, repairs, installation, and preventative maintenance to work on heating, cooling, and refrigeration systems and units (HVAC) on all SMHA properties. In addition to HVAC duties general facility maintenance functions will also be required. This position works under the general supervision of the Director of Maintenance/Property Management.
SHIFT: 8AM-4:30PM
PAY: $24.55/HR
Education/Certification/Experience
• High School Diploma or Equivalent,
• Associate degree, or two (2) years of post-high school technical training (Preferred)
• HVAC Certification (Required)
• EPA Type II or Universal Certification (Required)
• Valid Ohio driver’s license and be insurable under company policies.
• 3+years of verifiable HVAC experience
Qualifications/Skills
• Comprehensive knowledge of applying common principles, methods, procedures, trade practices, and techniques to troubleshoot, inspect, install, service, and repair heating, cooling, and refrigeration units.
• Structure and plan the sequence of tasks necessary to complete job assignments; ability to identify and evaluate repair needs and solve work-related problems.
• Skill and experience with various tools, instruments, and equipment necessary to complete HVAC work.
• Knowledge of heating, cooling, and refrigeration systems, components, and parts, including related electrical
• Knowledge of applicable building codes
• Communicate effectively.
• Follow written and oral instructions.
• Working Independently
High School Diploma, and demonstration of required skills; or two (2) years of HVAC experience; or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training, which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job. Must be able to work beyond the normal work day if the need may arise.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
The work of this position involves occasional exposure to a wide variety of environmental and atmospheric conditions including extremes in temperature and weather conditions, dust, dirt, odors and grease. Exposure to unfavorable health and safety factors or hazards in working conditions is minimal. The position requires normal attention to detail and the tasks being performed. Moderate physical exertion necessitating full and unrestricted body movements and use of all limbs and major muscle groups is required. This position requires the incumbent for frequent and/or prolonged periods to bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, lift, manipulate and grasp. Normal vision is required.
