**Key Responsibilities:**
- Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of food processing equipment and production areas, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
- Operate cleaning machinery, such as pressure washers and floor scrubbers, with a focus on efficiency and safety.
- Follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for sanitation tasks while adhering to regulatory requirements.
- Inspect production facilities regularly, reporting any sanitation issues or concerns promptly.
- Safely mix and apply cleaning chemicals according to manufacturer instructions and safety guidelines.
- Keep detailed records of sanitation activities, including cleaning schedules, chemical usage, and inspections.
- Work closely with production and quality teams to maintain high food safety standards.
- Participate in ongoing training to stay up-to-date on best practices and safety protocols.
- Assist in the development of new sanitation strategies to improve efficiency and safety.
- Respond to sanitation emergencies swiftly to maintain a safe environment.
- Manage and restock cleaning supplies and equipment to ensure smooth operations across all shifts.
- Support pest control measures by maintaining a clean, pest-free production area.
**Requirements:**
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of experience in food manufacturing or sanitation.
- Strong knowledge of food manufacturing sanitation procedures.
- Familiarity with FDA, USDA, and OSHA regulations.
- Ability to operate sanitation equipment safely.
- In-depth understanding of HACCP guidelines.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting safety data sheets (SDS).
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work both independently and within a team.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and varying shifts as needed.
- Basic computer skills for reporting purposes.
