Retail Clerk

Mancan is working with a company in Jeromesville looking for a retail clerk. This is a temp to hire opportunity. Hours are Tuesday-Friday, 8am-5pm and a half day on Saturday 8am-1pm. Possible Mondays 7am-2pm as scheduled.
The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a passion for customer service, and an ability to handle a variety of tasks related to packaging, sales, stocking, and maintaining the cleanliness of our store. This is a hands-on position that requires attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to upholding high standards of quality and hygiene.
Responsibilities:
- Package fresh meat products using appropriate materials, including Cryovac sealing, ensuring that all products are securely sealed and labeled for sale.
- Accurately weigh and label meat cuts for retail sale.
- Stock shelves, display cases, and refrigerators with meat products, ensuring items are well-organized and easily accessible. Rotate products as needed to maintain freshness.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including cleaning meat-cutting equipment, countertops, floors, and display areas to meet health and safety standards.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions, offering product recommendations, and ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers.
- Follow all food safety standards, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation procedures for meat products.
Qualifications:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Ability to work with cold temperatures (e.g., refrigeration units).
