Pay starts at $19/hr.
The shift is from 10pm - 6am . Typically Monday - Friday - some Overtime on weekends
Job Description
Position Overview:
We are currently seeking an EXPERIENCED Hydraulic Grappler Crane Operator/Equipment Operator to support our team at WV, located in South Charleston.
As part of the team, the Crane Operator/Equipment Operator will load trucks and rail cars by following loading instructions, shipping details, and safety procedures set forth by the supervisor. Some forklift driving as well as truck knowledge is highly appreciated.
With an uncontrolled climate this position's working conditions include exposure to heat and cold. This is an hourly position and may require shift work. Some Saturdays, Sundays and overtime can be expected to accommodate business needs. Must have experience operating a material handler.

Responsibilities:
Must comply with safety procedures and regulations at all times.
Prepares Material Handler by conducting operator inspections and performing preventative maintenance checks.
Safely load/unload scrap on/from trucks as assigned.
Sorts scrap and transfers to correct material stack.
Keeps heavy equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; calling for repairs. And taking good care of the equipment.
Provides housekeeping on yard by keeping a clean work area.
Constantly performs repetitive motions including finger movement and twisting or pressure involving the wrists/hands.
Frequently climb in and out of the material handler cab
Able to sit for long periods of time.
Experience and Skill Requirements:
Ability to communicate with customers, employees, and business leaders.
Ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment.
Have great organizational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.
Be willing and able to operate heavy equipment.
Be willing and able to operate a forklift.
Be able to sit for long periods of time.
Be able to stand, climb stairs and work equipment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
• 10 hour shift
