This is a first shift opportunity working Monday-Friday from 6am-2:30pm.
Pay rate: BOE $22-27/HR
🔧 Key Responsibilities:
- Machining & Processing: Execute machining activities on CNC centers, ensuring quality parts are produced on time.
- CNC Programming: Program and operate CNC machinery, including part set-up.
- Tooling Management: Define tooling requirements, manage insert inventory, and assemble SMI orders as needed.
- Production Planning: Plan and produce parts according to customer specifications, SMI procedures, and within scheduled time.
- Quality Assurance: Follow quality procedures, complete inspection reports, and ensure customer and internal specifications are met.
📊 Reports & Documentation:
- Log machining hours, report non-conformances, and maintain accurate documentation for ISO and customer requirements.
- Ensure all production reports and inspections are completed with accuracy.
🛠️ Additional Responsibilities:
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace (5S).
- Collaborate with team members to improve operational efficiency and productivity.
- Participate in continual improvement projects to enhance the work environment.
💡 What We’re Looking For:
- Education: High school diploma or GED (Journeyman education preferred).
- Experience: At least 5 years of machining experience (CNC programming experience is a MUST).
Skills:
- Knowledge of machining principles and manufacturing processes
- Proficiency in CNC programming (BobCatCAM software experience preferred)
- Strong blueprint reading skills (including tolerances and finish marks)
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and production specifications with precision.
⚙️ Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:
- Normal manufacturing/fabrication environment (occasional evening/weekend shifts).
- Ability to stand, sit, bend, stoop, and perform various motions.
- Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds and push/pull up to 100 pounds.
- Ability to work in various environmental conditions (heat, cold, humidity).
