Canton Mancan Professional Staffing Agency is assisting a local company in hiring an Accounting assistant.
We are looking for someone professional yet bubbly in demeanour, ready to work, and willing to learn.
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented accounting assistant to join our team. This candidate will play a crucial role in providing administrative support to our staff across various departments on top of accounting duties. This dynamic position requires excellent multitasking abilities, the capacity to meet deadlines, and effective task prioritization.
Monday- Friday, 8-5pm
Salary: $50k-$60k based on experience
Key Responsibilities:
• Accounting duties
• Day-day accounts payable and receivable
• Payroll and ensuring accuracy
• Month-end reporting and filings
• Year-end reporting and filings
• Deposit checks, maintain cash receipts and bank deposits
• Prepare general ledger entries including month-end accruals journal entries
• Audits
• Miscellaneous tasks as provided by owner
Qualifications:
• Reliable transportation to and from work
• Ability to work independently
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong communication and listening skills
• Stable work history
• 4+ years of experience with a focus in accounting or finance encouraged to apply!
• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in accounting or business preferred or equivalent accounting experience.
• Proficient with data entry and attention to detail and accuracy
• Efficient and effective communication and organizational skills
• Proficient in Excel
• Analytical & customer service mind-set
• Recognizes urgency in solving problems and completing critical work.
