Laser Operator

A Downtown Akron company is seeking an experienced Laser Operator to join their team.
12p-8:30pm- training on 1st 6a-2:30 is required.
Pay is BOE but starting at $19/hr
This is a temp to perm position with a union company.
As a Laser Operator, you ensure that all external and internal requirements are met before the product reaches the customer.
Working in the Laser Department includes the operation of 3 Laser Machines- one 1000W Fiber Optic Laser, one 1500W Fiber Optic Laser, one 1000W CO2 Laser, and Blasting operation.
Job Responsibilities
Work within the Laser Department.
You will be required to run different machines at the same time.
Inspect materials as they are being run on your machines.
Required Qualifications
Oral and written communication skills. Ability to understand and follow directions.
Manual dexterity. Ability to lift and move heavy objects. Physical stamina.
Ability to read prints and drawing is required.
Dependable and able to work 40 hours a week.
Ability to utilize Mic's and calipers.
Previous Laser Operations in a machine shop or metal manufacturing environment is required!
Must pass a pre employment drug screen and background check.
