Job Title: Box Truck Delivery Driver and Warehouse Associate Job Description: We are currently seeking a dedicated and responsible individual to join our team as a Box Truck Delivery Driver and Warehouse Associate, you will be responsible for transporting goods using a box truck, with a focus on heavy lifting during loading and unloading. Additionally, when not engaged in driving duties, you will actively participate in warehouse operations. This role requires a versatile skill set, combining driving expertise with warehouse tasks.
1. Responsibilities: Driving and Transportation:
* Safely operate a box truck to transport goods to specified locations.
* Adhere to traffic laws and safety regulations during transportation.
2. Loading and Unloading:
* Lift and load/unload merchandise and materials of varying weights, with a focus on heavy lifting (up to 100 lbs).
* Ensure proper securing of cargo to prevent damage during transit.
* Utilize equipment, such as hand trucks or pallet jacks, as needed.
3. Warehouse Operations:
* Assist in warehouse activities, including but not limited to sorting, packing, and organizing inventory.
* Safely operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts or pallet jacks.
4. Inventory Management:
* Maintain accurate records of warehouse inventory.
* Assist in conducting regular inventory checks and report discrepancies.
5. Route Planning:
* Plan and organize delivery routes to optimize efficiency and timely deliveries.
* Familiarize yourself with delivery destinations and routes to minimize delays.
6. Documentation:
* Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including receipts, mileage, and any incidents.
* Collect and verify necessary paperwork, such as delivery signatures and invoices.
7. Customer Service:
* Interact professionally with customers during deliveries, providing a positive representation of the company.
* Address customer inquiries and concerns in a courteous and timely manner.
8. Adherence to Policies:
* Follow company policies and procedures, including safety protocols and delivery guidelines.
* Report any incidents, accidents, or traffic violations immediately.
Work Schedule and Compensation: Monday-Friday 7AM-4PM Full-time Temp to hire Pay rate - $ 20/hour.
Qualifications and Requirements:
* Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
* Previous experience as a delivery driver, preferably with box trucks.
* Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, with a focus on lifting up to 100 lbs.
* Strong knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations.
* Experience in warehouse operations and inventory management.
* Forklift certification is a plus.
* Excellent time management and organizational skills.
* Effective communication and customer service skills.
* Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
Physical Requirements:
* Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy objects.
* Extended periods of sitting and driving.
* Active involvement in warehouse tasks, including standing, walking, and using equipment.
