Massillon Mancan is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join a local Plastic Company. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining machinery and equipment in a fast-paced plastic manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have experience with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, ensuring production runs efficiently with minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on production machinery, injection molding equipment, and auxiliary systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals.
• Perform equipment installations, adjustments, and upgrades as needed.
• Maintain and repair conveyors, motors, pumps, and other facility equipment.
• Work with the production team to minimize downtime and improve efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Document maintenance activities and complete work orders in a timely manner.
• Assist with maintaining inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies.
Qualifications:
• Previous experience as a maintenance mechanic in a manufacturing or plastics environment preferred.
• Knowledge of injection molding machines, extruders, or related plastic processing equipment is a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Welding and fabrication skills are a plus.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and work in a physically demanding environment.
• Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
• Must be able to work 1st or 2nd shift as assigned.
