Mancan Staffing McMurray is assisting a premier industrial tool manufacturer in Monongahela in hiring a skilled **Production Planner**!
**About the Role:**
The **Production Planner** will be responsible for developing and maintaining production schedules to ensure efficient workflow, optimal machine utilization, and timely product delivery. This role requires **strong organizational skills, manufacturing expertise, and the ability to proactively address production challenges** such as machine downtime and material shortages.
**Key Responsibilities:**
✔ **Production Scheduling & Coordination**
- Manage production schedules for multiple product lines and machines.
- Prioritize orders based on customer demand and lead times.
- Collaborate with the sales team to adjust schedules for urgent requests.
- Communicate schedule updates to relevant team members.
✔ **Manufacturing Expertise**
- Optimize workflows and identify process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Troubleshoot issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
✔ **Downtime & Maintenance Planning**
- Coordinate with maintenance teams for planned downtime.
- Forecast routine maintenance and emergency repairs.
- Develop contingency plans to minimize production disruptions.
✔ **Material Demand & Inventory Management**
- Analyze production forecasts to anticipate material needs.
- Coordinate with vendors for timely raw material deliveries.
- Monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstock.
✔ **Data Analysis & Continuous Improvement**
- Use production data to identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks.
- Implement process improvements to enhance productivity.
- Maintain accurate records of schedules, materials, and downtime.
**Qualifications & Skills:** *REQUIRED**
✅ Manufacturing experience with a deep understanding of production processes.
✅ Proven expertise in scheduling complex, multi-product production lines.
✅ Strong organizational and analytical skills for effective planning.
✅ Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
✅ Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
✅ Problem-solving skills to assess risks and implement effective solutions.
**Salary:** $60K-$70K (based on experience)
