Mancan Staffing Temporary Employment Agency is currently looking for a Seamstress at a High End Boutique.
Starting rate $18-22p/h depending on experience
Hours Flexible.
Job description and Responsibilities:
A seamstress is responsible for sewing, stitching, and tailoring clothing and other textiles. Their responsibilities can include:
Replacing buttons, zippers, pockets, and linings
Adding padding and shaping materials to garments
Modifying garment styles based on customers’ specifications
Cutting fabric to specified sizes based on patterns provided by designers or customers
Measuring clients to determine garment size and fitting needs
Sewing new seams or reinforcing existing seams on garments to ensure they hold up over time
Designing, altering and repairing clothes in accordance with customer requirements
Selecting appropriate fabrics and trims
Maintaining a clean and organized work space
Keeping abreast of current fashion trends
Job qualifications and requirements
• High School Diploma
• Two Years of College
• 2 years of Seamstress experience
• Team player
• Courteous to the public
• Welcomes training, for advancement.
• Wants to grow within our company.
• Someone who will be a positive addition to our organization.
Candidate should be pleasant to the public, and present themselves, in a friendly manner to the customers.
We have a dress code, of white tops and black pants or skirts. All black is acceptable.
Our hours of business, in season:
10:00 AM to 5:00 PM November thru April and Sundays 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM, Candidate will not be expected to work Sunday, but help on one or two Saturdays will be appreciated.
Our Hours of Business out of season:
10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday thru Saturdays. We are not open Sundays
** September Hours: 12:00 to 4:00, Monday thru Saturdays
I am looking for someone who can work 5 days a week in season, for 4 to 5 hours a day.
Out of Season 4 days or more if I am traveling. The candidate will not be alone in the shop. I will, be in the shop, or a sales person.
