Mancan Staffing has teamed up with a steel company in Mogadore who is looking for an experienced Operations Manager. The ideal candidate will have worked with steel or metal cutting, in the past.

6am-5pm Monday - Friday Breaks are as needed.
$70,000 to $85,000 based on experience

Must be proficient in blueprint reading and be familiar with CAD/CAM and must have some kind of steel experience, examples of industries would be Stamping Dies, Plastic Injection Molds, True steel sales from a place like ALRO, Machine shops ect.

They do give bonuses at the end of the year based on how many hours worked that year.

This company is a union and this is temp to hire.

Must be willing to pass a pre-employment drug test and physical.

Must have at least 10 years experience, or a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business, plus 8 years experience.

The Operations Manager for our steel company is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing and optimizing the operational processes within our steel manufacturing facility. This position requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in steel production and a proven track record of managing teams to achieve production goals, safety standards, and overall efficiency. Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage a team of supervisors, technicians, and production personnel in a steel manufacturing facility.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to achieve production targets, quality standards, and cost-efficiency goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, maintenance, and quality assurance, to optimize processes and ensure smooth operations.
- Monitor production metrics, analyze data, and implement improvements to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and increase overall efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies, fostering a culture of safety awareness.
- Oversee equipment maintenance, scheduling repairs, and optimizing uptime to minimize production disruptions.
- Train and develop staff to enhance their skills, promote a culture of continuous learning, and ensure a capable and motivated workforce.
- Manage inventory levels and materials to ensure timely production and minimize inventory carrying costs.
- Provide regular reports and updates to senior management regarding production, performance, and operational initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for innovation and process enhancements, driving initiatives to increase competitiveness and operational excellence.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations management, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus).
- Proven experience in steel manufacturing operations management, including leadership roles.
- Strong knowledge of steel production processes, equipment, and quality standards.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and implement effective solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Proficiency in using manufacturing software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
