Mancan Norwalk is seeking spray booth operators for a local client. You MUST have prior experience working in a spray booth or spray room. Positions are temp to hire within 90 days, pay will be $17-20 based on experience. Hours are Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm.
Responsibilities:
Paint product surfaces using spray guns and other paint tools to specifications.
Regulate conveyor speeds, machine temperature, air pressure and circulation, as well as the flow or spray of paints.
Prepare surfaces to be painted to create smooth surfaces.
Spray prepared surfaces with specified amounts of primers or finish coatings.
Mix paints to match color specifications, stirring or thinning paints, using mixing equipment.
Weigh or measure chemicals, coatings, or paints before adding them to machines.
Determine paint flow, viscosity, and coating quality by performing visual inspections or by using viscometers.
Monitor equipment gauges and equipment performance to ensure accurate performance.
Dispose of paint waste in accordance with company policy.
Monitor painting operations to identify flaws, such as runs or dry shot, and correct their causes.
Ensure all actions are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
Complete all other duties and cross-training activities as assigned.
