Shift Supervisor

Mancan Staffing, in partnership with a prestigious company in Caldwell, Ohio, is seeking a dedicated Shift Supervisor. The Shift Supervisor is responsible for providing leadership to hourly team members on a rotating shift basis. Key areas of focus include safety, crew development, productivity, quality, reliability, cost control, and team engagement. The operations consist of the following manufacturing areas: Laminating, Slitting, Converting, Shipping and Maintenance. The Shift Supervisor is a critical leadership position in the organization. The position has direct responsibility for approximately 20 employees per shift in a union environment in multiple manufacturing areas on a rotating shift basis. Success relies on the supervisor ‘s ability to understand and improve current processes, build relationships, and fully engage all crew members in business improvement. This position will pay $25-$28 per hour BOE and it will have a rotating schedule of 7a-7p & 7p-7a.
Qualifications
• Associates or bachelor’s degree in an operations management, engineering, industrial technology, or equivalent successful manufacturing management experience required.
• Proven leadership skills required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
• Previous manufacturing leadership experience required.
• Experience in Laminating/Converting operations processes strongly preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is required.
• Lean/Continuous Improvement and Quality Management Systems experience required.
• Experience in reading and understanding product specifications
