Mancan in Wheeling is seeking a talented and experienced Part-Time Seamstress to deliver top-quality clothing alterations and repairs for a well-established family-owned retail store located in the heart of Elm Grove, West Virginia. As a Seamstress, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our customers' garments fit perfectly and meet their specific needs.
Responsibilities:
Perform precise alterations and repairs on a variety of clothing items, including but not limited to hemming, patching, and sewing on buttons, patches, and epaulets for uniforms.
Conduct thorough assessments and measurements of garments to ensure accurate and impeccable alterations.
Maintain a well-organized and clean sewing workspace, ensuring all tools and materials are readily available.
Contribute to inventory management by monitoring sewing supplies and materials.
Demonstrate an unwavering commitment to upholding high-quality standards and attention to detail in all sewing tasks.
Requirements:
Proficiency in operating sewing machines, hand sewing techniques, and familiarity with various sewing tools.
Knowledge of different fabrics and their unique handling requirements.
Exceptional attention to detail and precision in garment alterations.
Ability to work independently and seamlessly collaborate within a team.
Flexibility to accommodate a part-time schedule of approximately 20 hours per week.
Compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's skills and experience.
