Die Shop/Die Chaser
Job Description:
As a Die Shop/Die Chaser, you will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process by ensuring the efficient operation of presses through die collection, setup, and maintenance. This position requires attention to detail, technical skill, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. **Die Collection and Setup:** Collect dies from presses and place them in designated areas, ensuring they are organized and ready for use. Set up dies for presses according to production requirements, including installing and securing them in place.
2. **Press Operator Assistance:** Assist press operators as needed, including providing support during setup, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring smooth operation of machinery.
3. **Die Maintenance:** Clean and polish dies to maintain their integrity and prolong their lifespan. Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure dies are in optimal condition for use.
4. **Safety Compliance:** Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while handling and setting up dies, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintaining a safe work environment.
5. **Shift Schedule: Dayshift 6am - 2pm
6. **Compensation:** Receive a competitive hourly wage of $14.00.
Qualifications:
- Experience in die setting and maintenance preferred, but training may be provided for candidates with mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and instructions for die setup.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the quality and integrity of dies.
- Physical stamina to lift and maneuver heavy dies and equipment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
