Mancan Staffing is hiring for a slitter operator in Triadelphia! This role is common in industries such as paper manufacturing, plastics, textiles, metal fabrication, and more. Position pays $16.00 an hour and is Monday-Thursday 4pm-2am.
Job Duties:
Machine Setup: Set up slitting machines by adjusting blades, spacers, and other components based on the specifications provided for each job.
Material Loading: Load large rolls or sheets of material onto the slitting machine, ensuring proper alignment and tension for accurate cutting.
Quality Control: Monitor the slitting process to ensure the materials are cut to the specified dimensions and meet quality standards. Conduct regular checks to identify and rectify any defects or irregularities.
Adjustments and Maintenance: Make necessary adjustments to the slitting machine settings as needed to address issues or accommodate different materials. Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the machine's optimal performance.
Safety Procedures: Adhere to strict safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment. This includes using personal protective equipment and following guidelines for machine operation.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of production output, including the quantity and dimensions of slit materials. Provide relevant information to supervisors or quality control personnel.
Collaboration: Work closely with team members, including machine assistants and quality control staff, to ensure smooth production flow and timely resolution of any issues.
