Quality Control Technician with Shipping Experience 🛠️📦
Location: Lake City, PA
Shift: Tuesday to Friday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Mondays overtime if available)
Pay: Based on experience, starting at $14.50/hour
Job Description:
We are seeking a Quality Control Technician with Shipping Experience to ensure product quality and assist with shipping operations. This role involves testing and inspecting products throughout production while coordinating shipping processes to maintain efficiency and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
Conducts tests and inspections throughout the production process, compiling and evaluating statistical data to ensure product quality and reliability.
Interprets engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, and formulas while collaborating with management or engineering staff to establish quality standards.
Selects products for testing at specified stages, evaluating dimensions and performance.
Records and analyzes test data using statistical procedures, recommending adjustments to maintain quality.
Performs destructive and non-destructive tests on parts or products as needed.
Prepares graphs or charts, and enters data for analysis.
Inspects and calibrates gauges, measuring instruments, and testing equipment, ensuring accuracy and maintenance.
Verifies products against blueprint specifications using various measuring tools.
Identifies and reports non-conformances, assisting in corrective action processes.
Assists with shipping operations, including preparing shipments, verifying product counts, and ensuring compliance with shipping documentation.
Packages products according to company standards, ensuring quality control measures are met before shipment.
Works closely with production and logistics teams to ensure timely and accurate shipments.
Familiar with ISO 9001:2015 standards and quality management procedures.
Requirements:
2-3 years of quality control experience, preferably with shipping experience.
Ability to read blueprints and use various measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
Experience identifying non-conformances and maintaining compliance with quality standards.
Strong computer skills and ability to input and analyze data.
Physical requirements: Lifting 25-50 lbs, standing for extended periods, and walking with carts.
Authority:
Initiates actions to prevent non-conformities.
Identifies and records product or process issues.
Recommends solutions through designated channels.
Verifies implementation of solutions.
Controls further processing of non-conforming products.
