Mancan Staffing is Hiring for a Maintenance Technician (Fully-Skilled Millwright) – Direct Hire Opportunity!
We are excited to partner with a local cookware manufacturer to find an experienced and talented **Millwright** for their Maintenance Department. This is a **DIRECT HIRE** position offering competitive pay, a stable schedule, and the chance to work in a state-of-the-art manufacturing environment.
**Position Overview:**
As a Maintenance Technician (Millwright), you will troubleshoot, install, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment and systems used in manufacturing high-quality cookware. You’ll be responsible for ensuring all work complies with safety regulations, state/local codes, and Lock Out/Tag Out procedures.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues using advanced tools and techniques.
- Perform hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Read and interpret mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic blueprints.
- Perform fabrication, welding, and rigging.
- Inspect systems to ensure safety, compliance, and functionality.
**Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Proven experience in metal manufacturing and maintenance.
- Expertise in hydraulics, pneumatics, troubleshooting, and power transmissions.
- Ability to pass a mechanical technician test (80% or higher required).
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
- Reliable transportation required for potential overtime needs.
**Pay Rate & Schedule:**
- Starting pay: **$31.84/hour**, with opportunities for overtime.
- Swing shift schedule: Alternates weekly between 7 AM–3 PM and 3 PM–11 PM. Occasional midnight shifts, extended overtime, and weekend work may be required.
**Work Environment:**
- Must lift/move up to 50 lbs occasionally and work in high-noise, dusty environments.
- PPE is required at all times.
