Mancan is working with a company in Dundee seeking experienced MIG welders. These are temp to hire positions for the right candidate based upon attitude, attendance, and performance. The hours are Monday-Thursday 6 am - 4:30 pm. The pay is $21 per hour. When hired permanently, pay goes to piece rate pay.
In addition to MIG welding, the candidate will operate other machinery including grinders, drill presses, machine welders, press brakes, and burn tables. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform MIG welding on various metal components according to specifications and blueprints.
- Inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws.
- Operate grinders to remove excess material and achieve smooth finishes.
- Use drill presses to create holes in metal parts as required.
- Operate machine welders for automated or semi-automated welding tasks.
- Set up and use press brakes to bend and shape metal parts.
- Operate burn tables for cutting and shaping metal components.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a MIG Welder.
- Proficiency in operating welding equipment and tools.
- Familiarity with other machinery such as grinders, drill presses, machine welders, press brakes, and burn tables.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
- Strong attention to detail and quality control.
- Good hand-eye coordination and physical stamina.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
- Prolonged periods standing and performing repetitive tasks.
- Ability to work in a noisy environment with exposure to welding fumes.
