Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable general labor with forklift and overhead crane experience to join our team. This position involves the safe and efficient operation of forklifts and overhead cranes to move, load, and unload materials, equipment, and other goods within the facility or job site. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and experience handling heavy machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
• Safely operate forklifts and overhead cranes to transport equipment, materials, and products as needed.
• Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper handling of materials to prevent damage.
• Inspect and maintain forklifts and cranes regularly to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
• Position and secure loads using slings, hooks, or other rigging tools according to specifications.
• Collaborate with team members to coordinate material movements and ensure workflow efficiency.
• Perform routine checks on lifting equipment to identify and report any issues or needed repairs.
• Follow safety protocols and adhere to company policies, OSHA regulations, and operational guidelines.
• Assist with other duties, such as inventory management or general warehouse tasks, as required.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience operating forklifts and overhead cranes in an industrial or warehouse environment.
• Certification to operate forklifts and/or cranes (preferred but may be provided upon hiring).
• Familiarity with material handling and equipment safety standards.
• Physical ability to lift heavy objects and work in environments that may require standing, bending, or climbing.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions precisely.
Work Environment:
• Industrial or warehouse setting with varying temperature conditions.
• Exposure to machinery noise and moving equipment.

Position is Monday-Friday 7am-3pm and will pay $18.50 an hour. Position is a temp to hire opportunity with a great local company in the Wheeling WV area.
