**Job Title:** Hammer Operator
**Location:** Warren, Ohio
**Shift:** 1st Shift – 5:00 AM to 3:00 PM Mandatory OVERTIME can be Friday-Sunday!
**Employment Type:** Temp-to-Hire
**Training Period:** 8 Weeks
**Training & Compensation:**
- **8-week training program** to become a fully skilled Hammerman.
- **Starting pay**: $20 per hour.
- **Pay increase**: $22 per hour upon successful completion of the training program.
- **Permanent Hire**: After successful completion of the training, you will be considered for permanent hire with the potential to earn up to **$26 per hour** with **yearly pay increases**.
**Job Description:**
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join our team as a **Hammer Operator** at our facility in Warren, OH. This is a **temp-to-hire position** with **extensive on-the-job training** that will last approximately 8 weeks. The ideal candidate will be trained to become a skilled Hammerman, with the potential for long-term employment and growth within the company.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Operate and maintain hammering equipment used in the production process.
- Assist in the setup, adjustment, and troubleshooting of equipment.
- Perform basic measurements to ensure product specifications are met.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety and company standards.
- Lift up to 60 lbs as required for handling materials and equipment.
- Work efficiently and safely in a high-temperature environment, as the facility can get hot.
**Requirements:**
- **Basic measurement skills** (ability to use measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, etc.).
- **Mechanical aptitude** is a plus (experience in mechanical work or machinery operations is beneficial).
- Ability to **lift up to 60 lbs** as part of the daily duties.
- Comfortable working in a **hot environment**.
- Must have a **clean background** and pass a **drug test**.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must have a strong work ethic and reliability.
