Eastlake company seeking general laborers immediately. Candidates will be responsible for winding spooled fiberglass strands on to polypropylene tanks. Employees will be exposed to Resin and Acetone.
This position is on third shift (midnight to 8am) and pays $17/hour. Must be available Monday through Friday
As a **Winder**, you’ll be responsible for operating and maintaining winding machines to manufacture composite pressurized vessels. You'll play a crucial role in ensuring the high-quality production of these vessels, which are used in industries like aerospace ✈️, defense 🛡️, and automotive 🚗.
**Responsibilities**:
- 🔧 Set up and prepare winding machines for production, ensuring proper calibration and alignment.
- 📦 Load and unload liners onto the machines, securing them in place.
- 👀 Monitor the automated winding process, making adjustments as needed to maintain quality.
- 🧵 Apply composite fibers and resins according to winding patterns and layering requirements.
- ✅ Inspect finished vessels for defects, ensuring they meet specifications and quality standards.
- 🛠️ Perform routine maintenance on winding machines, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate repairs when needed.
- 🧹 Perform daily cleaning on all winding tooling.
- 📝 Maintain accurate production records, including quantities, materials used, and time for each run.
- ⚠️ Follow safety guidelines and promote a safe working environment.
**Requirements**
- 🎓 High school diploma or equivalent.
- 📋 Proven experience as a Composite Pressurized Vessel Winder or similar manufacturing role.
- ⚙️ Familiarity with operating and maintaining machines, including setup and adjustments.
- 🔍 Strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality fabrication.
- 🚨 Basic understanding of safety regulations in a manufacturing setting.
- 🛠️ Effective problem-solving skills to troubleshoot equipment issues.
- 🗣️ Good communication skills to work with team members and address production concerns.
- 🕒 Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet production targets on time.
