Job Duties:
Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Measuring, spreading, counting, preparing patterns, and cutting raw materials for assembly. Operate a table saw for material cutting and utilize precision tools to ensure quality inspection. Collaborate with the Production Management team on design details, providing input to guide spread measurements and layouts. Document material spreads and quantities to ensure traceability to customer purchase orders. Track and record the movement of raw materials within the inventory management system. Handle the transportation of materials between the warehouse and shop floor, as well as the return of unused materials or scrap to the warehouse, utilizing carts, dollies, pallet jacks, and walk-behind forklifts.
REQUIREMENTS
Must have general knowledge of how to read a blueprint (or willingness to learn)
Must have some mechanical aptitude and knowledge of shop hand and power tools
Willingness to undergo walk-behind forklift training
Motivated to work independently and accountable to complete the job safely and correctly with limited supervision
Willingness to use the following equipment: walk-behind forklift, clicker, punch press, hoist, slitter, table saws, hand punches, hammer, truck chocks, stretch wrap, banding tools, band saw, automatic cutter, scissors, measuring tape, automatic spreader, and push broom
Physical capability to climb onto table and work on your hands and knees to complete table spreading/cutting/sawing efforts as well as stand for majority of the day, lift boxes up to 50lbs, and maneuver pallets with the help of a walk-behind electric forklift or pallet jack
Physical capability of writing, the use of scissors, and operating production equipment with built-in safety mechanisms requiring the use of two hands to engage (i.e. Press Machines and Clicker)
