Front Desk Clerk

Are you a people person and have great customer service skills? Mancan has teamed up with a company located in Walnut Creek, looking for a full time Front Desk Clerk. This is a temp-to-hire position for the right candidate based upon attitude, attendance, and performance. Pay is $13/HR. Hours will vary based on hotel needs. Must be available weekends and between the hours of 2:30 pm - 10:30 pm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle guest reservations, including making new bookings and confirming existing ones.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of room availability, rates, and promotions to provide accurate information to guests.
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries, providing helpful information and assistance.
- Check guests in and out, issue room keys, and provide essential information such as hotel pamphlets and discount cards.
- Offer suggestions and directions to local attractions, helping guests make the most of their stay.
- Actively promote our in-house restaurants, bakeries, and shops to guests, encouraging them to explore our on-site offerings.
Requirements:
- High school education or equivalent
- Strong conflict resolutions skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Prior hotel or office experience
