Fab Shop Associate

Mancan Staffing is seeking a skilled and dedicated Floating Fabrication Technician to join our team in Carnegie. In this role, you will support various functions including fabrication, delivery, and material handling. Your contributions will be vital to maintaining our high standards and ensuring the smooth operation of our production processes.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. **Tether Shop Fabrication:**
- Assist in fabricating tethers and related components.
- Operate machinery for spinning Vectran and running Zylon.
- Serve, cut, and assemble tethers using various materials.
2. **Driving and Delivery:**
- Make deliveries and pick up items for repair or supply replenishment.
- Transport materials and components to and from the shop.
- Ensure timely and safe handling of deliveries and pickups.
3. **No Touch/Fabrication Work:**
- Cut materials including 6061 aluminum and perform bending and finish work.
- Package orders and prepare products for shipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area.
**Qualifications:**
- Prior experience in fabrication or a related field preferred.
- Familiarity with materials such as synthetic ropes, aluminum, and tethers.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Welding experience is a plus.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency in manual assembly of products using both hands
- Basic math skills for accurate order processing
- Excellent attendance and punctuality
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
- Capability to lift up to 30 pounds
- Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Work Hours:
7:00 AM to 3PM
Compensation:
Starting at $18 per hour
