Tapper Operator

Tapper Operator needed in Painesville on 2nd shift. Hours are 2pm-10:30pm Monday-Friday. Pay starts at $18 an hour.
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Primary responsibility is to set up and operate automatic tapping machine for internal threading of forged parts.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Produce internally threaded forged parts.
1. Visually inspect each forging prior to tapping process.
2. Load parts into tapper.
3. Gauge finished parts with a go- no-go gauge.
4. Uses blueprints, charts, drawings, and work orders to determine pitch and depth of thread,
5. Lifts work piece to fixture and bolts or clamps it in place.
6. Computes thread dimensions.
7. Starts machine and inspects work piece during and on completion of milling operation.
8. Removes threaded work piece from fixture.
High School diploma or general education degree (GED); minimum of 6 months working in an industrial environment – operating production machinery.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Frequently required to reach with hands and arms. Must have ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
