Mancan Staffing, in partnership with a Brownsville-based manufacturing facility, are in need of a Production Supervisor. This position will entail the qualified candidate to oversee the effective function of employees. They will identify and work to resolve production-related issues. Additionally, they will support the company mission, vision, and values. Candidate will be responsible for quality, delivery, and cost in supervised area. This position has the ultimate responsibility for the quality of the product as it leaves the shop. ESSENTIAL DUTIES / SKILLS / RESPONSIBILITIES: •Ensure effective allocation of manpower to production times to match standard hours and thus achieve efficiency goals •Establish Supervisor targets to meet BMP scheduling and cost objectives •Eliminate unsafe work conditions: maintain safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel •Accomplish required results by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results •Complete Daily Production Reports and CA Forms •Coach and counsel employees to improve their development, safety commitment and as necessary correct areas of concern •Ensure all company polices are followed •Ensure proper operation of equipment •Management of department budget and unit metrics •Communicate with lead and hourly employees •Act as Lead and ensure timely completion of safety related corrective actions issued to department •Work with quality department for continuous improvement on quality •Manager normal work and overtime schedule; complete reports and paperwork as required •Performs other duties as assigned WORK CONDITIONS: •Main work environment is a heavy industrial worksite •Can work in extreme weather conditions •Proper personal protective equipment is required at all times, such as, steel toed, ear plugs/ear muffs, safety glasses, pants, and hard hats EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: •College or Associates Degree •Three to five years of verifiable experience in a heavy industrial or construction environment is preferred •Strong communication skills, interpersonal and leadership skills •Knowledge of applicable safety regulations This is a temporary-to-hire position for the right candidate, with benefits and incentives offered upon permanent hire. The starting pay is between $45,000-$52,000 per year, depending on experience. Candidates must be able to submit to a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screen.
